AgriDataValue aims to establish itself as a “Game Changer” in the digital transformation of Smart Farming and agri-environmental monitoring, and to strengthen competitiveness and fair income by introducing an innovative, open source (open to all), smart and multi-technology agri-environmental data space.
In particular, it intends to protect grape health and quality by using less pesticides and to predict and mitigate frost.
The project, which has just begun, will last 6 years and will involve pilot vineyards located at Tebano in Italy, Alfilophia in Greece and Saint-Emilion in France.
Work will be done on the study of disease epidemiology, correlation with various IoT (Internet of Things) and geotagged images, and adaptation of disease prediction models (phenological, meteorological), early frost prediction and remote automated mitigation (via precision irrigation), construction of models related to on-farm and post-farm activities related to the vineyard, and supply chain traceability.
