Late ripening cell death and shrivel in Shiraz

Steve TYERMAN - Faculty of Sciences, The University of Adelaide (Australia)

Steve Tyerman has been involved in plant physiology research for over 25 years. His research interests lie in the area of grapevine physiology and in particular vine and berry water relations. He has a biophysical background and brings this to bear by using novel sensor technology for probing vine performance and responses to stress.  He has researched membrane transport systems, nutrition, salinity and water relations. He is a chief investigator in the Australian Research Council (ARC) Training Centre for Innovative Wine Production and the Centre of Excellence in Plant Energy Biology.
