Vine Link”/”Lien de la Vigne” is an association created in 1992, whose primary mission is to foster innovation, enable contact between public researchers and professionals of the international wine industry and to facilitate activity on joint projects. Each year the association addresses a major theme of study that involves experts from all components of the sector (public and private research) and wine professionals. For 2015, the theme was “Definition, analysis and control of the quality of the wines”.

In 2016, the bureau of the association has decided to analyse in greater detail the vineyard component defining as its theme for study:

Bioinformatics for  Grape Quality :
sensors, data management, decision support tools.

With this background, we seek your support this study. Capture of vineyard data is indeed very important and we aim to better develop the rapid acquisition and functional management of such data.

The attached questionnaire, addressed to scientists internationally, equipment manufacturers and professionals should allow us to:
  • Identify the research needs of growers and wine producers,
  • Locate research currently conducted on this area and new equipment under development or marketing and,
  • Finally, inform the respondents to the survey (via final report and conference on the theme) indicating the modern tools available or in preparation across the world, and assisting collaborations between those wishing to accelerate such development.
We thank you very much for your participation and will keep you informed about the results of the investigation.
