The 17th edition of the Ecovino Awards is consolidating its position as one of the leading international competitions for certified organic wines. More than just a competition, it represents a technical and visibility platform aimed at recognizing oenological excellence and the wine sector’s commitment to environmental sustainability.
The Ecovino Awards aim to promote the production of high-quality organic wines, give visibility to wineries committed to environmental sustainability, and encourage continuous improvement in organoleptic, health, and environmental terms.
An International Competition with Strong Technical Rigor
Certified organic wines from all over the world may participate, provided they are produced in accordance with European regulations or equivalent standards in third countries. Final organic certification is required.
The tastings are conducted under strict blind tasting conditions, at the Scientific and Technological Complex of the University of La Rioja, with a jury composed of experts in sensory analysis.
Este nivel de exigencia convierte cada medalla en un argumento sólido de calidad ante importadores, distribuidores y consumidores.
Wide Range of Categories
The competition includes 15 categories, covering white, red and rosé wines, sparkling wines, wines with or without wood contact, low-alcohol wines, vermouths, musts, vinegars, and organic spirits.
The awards include: Ecovino Gold, Ecovino Silver, Grand Ecovino Gold, the Special Award for the Best Wine “with no added sulfites”, the Environmental Excellence Award, and the Best Label Design Award.
Award-winning wineries may display the medal on the labeling of the corresponding vintage, providing a direct tool for differentiation on retail shelves and in international markets.
The list of award-winning wines is announced in May, and the distinguished wines take part in promotional events and a public tasting open to consumers, further expanding their media visibility and outreach.
Registration open until March 10, 2026
The registration period is open from January 12 to March 10, 2026, exclusively through the online form available at www.premiosecovino.com.
The registration fee has remained unchanged since 2023 and is structured progressively according to the number of entries submitted, facilitating participation by wineries with a broad product range.
