IN+Vite organises video-making course for Ponte dell'Olio secondary school students

Ponte dell'Olio

Dr. Elena Valdameri, a collaborator of CREMIT (Centre for Research on Media Education in Innovation and Technology) connected to the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, held an on-line video-making course for Ponte dell'Olio secondary school students.

Concepts such as 'subject', 'filming', 'editing' and 'dissemination' were explained to the students in the classes involved, as well as where to find free online resources for editing software, repositories of copyright-free images, footage and music, giving them the opportunity to acquire the knowledge and means necessary to successfully make amateur videos.

All these topics were covered during the course held by Dr. Elena Valdameri, provided by the IN+Vite Project to students with the aim of having local young people document the social and environmental role of traditional vine culture in inland areas, even beyond its economic dimension.

Following the course, IN+VITE will sponsor an outing (the second of the year) to the Baraccone Winery, where the students will have the opportunity to use the skills they learnt during the video-making course by making amateur videos documenting the outing.
