Switzerland: no more limits for Histamine in wines
Switzerland is known to be the only country having an official limit for the histamine in wines with a maximum of 10mg / L. Recently, this legal limit of importation has been eliminated.
The statutory text of the Ordinance on foreign substances in foodstuffs (OSEC 817.021.23) can be consulted on the OIV website.
THE OIV is also adopting a "Code of good viticulture and enology practices in order to limit the presence of biogenic amines in wines" underlining the importance of the subject for the sector."
