About this call

LIGAWINE (Low Input Grapegrowing and Winemaking) aims to enhance the sustainability, climate resilience, and competitiveness of the European wine sector by accelerating the adoption of low-input, environmentally friendly, digitally enabled, and resource-optimising innovations in viticulture and winemaking, with a strong focus on less developed regions across Europe.

The Open Call has two two strands, providing Financial Support to Third Parties (FSTP) to SMEs: technology providers and wineries. The Open Call will support the testing, adaptation, and validation of innovative solutions addressing key challenges such as reduced chemical inputs, resource efficiency, digital decision-support, and low-impact winemaking processes. Funded activities may include applied pilot trials, deployment of near-market technologies, process optimisation, and real-world validation in vineyard and winery settings.

Through this Open Call, LIGAWINE seeks to foster cross-regional collaboration, support business viability and replicability, and generate transferable solutions that contribute to a more sustainable and resilient European wine ecosystem.
