Since 2007, ADVID (Douro Wine Region Cluster) has established an annual award to attract researchers from various scientific areas to the technical, cultural, and social specificities of viticulture in the Douro Wine Region, in order to develop and disseminate technology and knowledge that may enhance the technical development of and add value to its winegrowing sector.
This Award is different from all other initiatives since, to the amount of € 5,000 that will be awarded to the winning work, is also added the possibility of the winning authors benefiting from a scholarship in the same amount, if they accept to develop a research project dedicated to the wine industry in the Demarcated Douro Region.
All researchers, undergraduates, master’s or doctoral students, or research teams that may have published any new work in 2015 and 2016, are invited to submit their applications between November 1 and December 31, through the online form to be made available.
